Summer Strings Camp

Dates: Monday, August 7 - Thursday, August 10

Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location: Madrona Park, 853 Lake Washington Blvd, Seattle, WA 98122

Eligibility: Open to current violin, cello students with 6 or more months of playing experience.

Ages 8-14 years old
Not designed for beginning players
Students must have instruments they can use throughout the camp
Considerations may be made for those outside of these eligibility requirements

Description: For experienced string players ages 8-14, the goal of our camp is to make connections through music. The camp will be a great way to meet, learn, jam and perform along with other string players. We’ll explore a wide range of music from classical to folk, jazz and pop. By the end of the week, campers will get a chance to:

Learn tunes by ear
Play fun musical and non-musical games
Create and explore songs within small bands
Perform as a group
